Srinagar, July 27: The Group of Concerned Citizens ( GCC), J&K has expressed great sorrow over the tragic car accident near Daksum in which 8 persons including minor children from village Hynan, Teller, Marwah lost their life. The GCC has offered its deep condolences to the bereaved families and appealed to the UT government authorities to sanction exgratia relief in favour of the NOKs. The GCC also expressed its concern over the condition of road connecting Marwah Warwan with Kashmir valley via Margan top. It called for urgent measures by the Public Works Department to improve the condition of the entire road stretch to make the journey of the people of this far flung area safe and comfortable. The road requires to be made safe during rainy season as well as during winter when snowfall blocks it for months end on. Simulatneously, the GCC called for improvement of roads in the Chenab valley and the road connecting Kishtwar to the valley via synthan top to prevent tragic road accidents of the kind seen in the past.
