Srinagar: Deputy Commissioner Budgam on Friday placed four Patwaris of Revenue Department from Tehsil Office Narbal under immediate suspension for ‘dereliction of duties’ and attached two Junior Assistants for unknown reasons.
According to a Srinagar-based news gathering agency, the decision was taken following a review meeting, which found major defaults in adhering to Public Services Guarantee Act timelines, maintenance of revenue records, and in response to multiple complaints received from citizens.
“Whereas, a review meeting to review the functioning of Tehsil office Narbal was held by the undersigned along with a committee of Senior Officers including Additional Deputy Commissioner and Assistant Commissioner (Revenue) Budgam on 12.07.2024. Whereas, the Govt. has duly notified timelines of providing services to the general public under Pubic Services Guarantee, Act,” reads an order issued by DC Budgam, Akshay Labroo.
