J&K results: Omar Abdullah, Mian Altaf leading; INDIA bloc lead in 4 out of 5 seats

Srinagar: Early leads show the National Conference’s (NC) Omar Abdullah was leading over his rival Sajad Gani Lone of the J&K Peoples Conference (JKPC) in Baramulla Lok Sabha constituency, ECI data shows.

In the Anantnag-Rajouri Lok Sabha seat, former Chief Minister and chief of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Mehbooba Mufti was trailing NC candidate, Mian Altaf Ahmad, ECI data suggests.

Overall, the INDIA bloc is leading in Jammu and Kashmir in the first Lok Sabha election since special status was scrapped from the erstwhile state.
