Workshop on cycling benefits held at Bilaliya Institute

Srinagar, June 10: Bilaliya Educational Institute (BEI), in partnership with the J&K Mountain Biking Association, Kashmir, organized a cycling awareness workshop at its main campus in Lal Bazar today. The primary objective of the workshop was to educate students about the numerous benefits of cycling, both for their personal health and the environment.

Riyaz Ahmad Wani and Mohsin Fayaz, delivered insightful presentations during the workshop, shedding light on the advantages of cycling, a spokesperson said.

Participants gained valuable knowledge about how cycling positively impacts physical fitness, mental well-being, and overall health. Furthermore, the experts emphasized the significance of cycling in preserving air quality and reducing fuel consumption.

Manzoor Ahmad Wangnoo, Chairman of BEI, emphasized the importance of cycling as an environmentally friendly mode of transportation. He expressed his earnest desire for all students to embrace cycling as a means of commuting to school and for other travel purposes. Recognizing the pressing need to raise awareness about this sustainable transportation option, he announced an upcoming cycling rally aimed at engaging the wider public and promoting its significance in all areas.

The workshop received high praise from the participants and the BEI community, who commended the experts for their efforts in organizing an environmentally conscious awareness program. By encouraging the adoption of cycling, BEI strives to create a healthier and more sustainable environment for all, the spokesperson added.
