Director HPMD J&K visits Parimpora Mandi, issues orders for Mandi’s improvement

Srinagar, Aug 10: Director Horticulture Planning and Marketing Department (HPMD) Vishesh Paul Mahajan visited Fruit Marketing Complex Parimpora Srinagar today alongwith Deputy Director Horticulture P&M Kashmir Manzoor Ahmad Mir, Area Marketing Officer Parimpora Srinagar Assistant Executive Engineer Horticulture P&M Department Madam Sehar and visited all the key Blocks of the complex, including Auction Shed Block and the site where the construction of CA/Cold Store is presently under active progress.

“The Director Horticulture P&M felt great pleasure knowing that the CA Store is being constructed by the Management of Fruit Association Parimpora of their own. The Director Horticulture P&M and his team of officers and team of his subordinate officers have found deplorable condition of sanitation in the Fruit Marketing Complex, surface drains and has, therefore, directed to Deputy Director P&M Kashmir and AMO Parimpora, Srinagar for speed up of cleaning all surface drains and removal of garbage from Auction Shed Block and other sites of this Fruit Marketing Complex”, a spokesperson of the complex told Ziraat Times.

Key management members of Fruit Marketing Complex Parimpora Srinagar, who accompanied Director Horticulture and his team, have expressed their gratitude to the Director Horticulture P&M Mr Mahajan and his team of officers on issuing on spot orders for:

1. Installation of additional Electrical Transformer in the premises of Fruit Marketing Complex. In this connection the Director Horticulture Planning and Marketing had a telephonic talk with Chief Engineer PDD and directed AMO Parimpora for immediate follow up the case with Executive Engineer PDD Department.
2. Demarcation of Land of Fruit Marketing Complex Parimpora Srinagar. The Director Horticulture Planning and Marketing had telephonic discussions with DC Srinagar and Tehsildar Shalteng for immediate steps to be taken for demarcation of land of Fruit Marketing Complex. In this connection AMO Parimpora Srinagar had also been directed to follow up the case with Tehsildar.
3. The Director Horticulture Planning and Marketing have also telephonic talk with Commissioner SMC regarding norms for regularization of raising of Second storing and roofing of Shop structures of this Fruit marketing Complex and AMO Parimpora had been directed to follow up the Matter with SMC for one time regularization of raising of second storing and roofing of all shops sites of Fruit Marketing Complex Parimpora Srinagar.
4. The Director Horticulture P&M have allowed Chowkidars of this Fruit Marketing Complex to reside in one of the room of newly constructed Main Gate till the Guard room near Main gate of Fruit Complex is fully constructed.

The Director Horticulture P&M have also directed his subordinate staff on spot for immediate demolition of old lavatory block and making immediate functional of newly constructed lavatory block.

According to the spokesperson, the President of the New Kashmir Fruit Association, Bashir Ahmad Basheer, while discussing various issues with Director Horticulture Planning and Marketing in a meeting held in the meeting hall of the Association also put fourth following demands:

1. Execution of Lease Deeds of Shops Sites which have not been executed as yet.
2. Construction of Concrete Gate on the main road side adjacent to CA Store Site.
3. Installation of 630 KV additional Electrical Transform in this Fruit Marketing Complex.
4. Repairment of Surface drains and de-silting thereof for the purpose of smooth flow of water therein.
