Snowfall, rains lash J&K; citizens report about their town, village situations

Srinagar, Mar 12: Heavy rains and snowfall continue to lash Kashmir valley, with parts of north Kashmir and Sonamarg and surrounding areas witnessing between 2 to 3 feet of snowfall since Wednesday.

According to reports received by Ziraat Times through its farmer networks, snowfall is particularly intense in North Kashmir districts of Kupwara, Baramulla, Bandipora and Ganderbal.

Tourist resorts of Gulmarg, Yusmarg and Sonamarg have received 3 feet, 2.5 feet and 3 feet of snowfall respectively since Wednesday.

In district Kupwara, fresh snow depth at Sadna Top. and surrounding areas is 30 inches, while Machil has received 8 inches. At Z-Gali, 21 inches of fresh snowfall has occurred, while Keran Furkian Top has witnessed 30 inches.
