Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Bank Officers Association (JKBOA) is set to hold its elections for the 2025 term. Various candidates have entered the fray for the upcoming term.
One of the panels led by Riyaz Ahmad Bhat contesting for key positions under the banner of Unity, Integrity, and Progress.
According to campaigners of the panel, Riyaz Ahmad Bhat, Branch Officer of Upper Satho, is contesting for the post of President, while Malik Mohammad Mubashir, Branch Officer of Mehind, Anantnag, is in the fray for General Secretary.
Other prominent candidates include Arshad Ahmad Suhaf (Senior Vice President, Fateh Kadal), Mohammad Nayeem Rather (Vice President, Nowpora Kalan), H.S. Sodhi (Organising Secretary, PCR Srinagar), Javeed Ahmad (Assistant General Secretary, Zoonimar Srinagar), Sajid Hussain Beigh (Secretary I, Chatbal Srinagar), Sheikh Gulzar Ahmad (Secretary II, Currency Chest Shopian), Tariq Ahmad Mir (Treasurer, Air Cargo Srinagar), and Gulam Mustaffa (Assistant Treasurer, ZIARB Branch Baramulla).
The team’s election campaign emphasizes “Unity, Integrity, and Progress” as its core principles, pledging to strengthen organizational cohesion, promote transparency, and safeguard the professional and welfare interests of J&K Bank officers across the region.
The JKBOA elections, a key event in the internal democratic functioning of the Bank’s officers’ body, are expected to draw wide participation from members across Kashmir.
The candidates have urged colleagues to “vote and support” their panel to ensure continued institutional growth and professional empowerment within the banking fraternity.
