J&K Bank announces rehabilitation package for borrowers affected post-Pahalgam incident

Srinagar: In a move to support individuals and businesses affected by recent disturbances in Jammu & Kashmir following the Pahalgam incident, J&K Bank has announced a comprehensive Rehabilitation Package 2025. The initiative aims to provide financial relief and help borrowers recover and restart their economic activities during these challenging times.

As per the information shared with Ziraat Times, under this special package, the bank has outlined several borrower-friendly measures, including:

  • Repayment Relief: Extension in the repayment period of existing term loans, with or without moratorium.

  • Interest Funding: Conversion of unpaid or accrued interest into a Funded Interest Term Loan (FITL) to ease immediate financial pressure.

  • Moratorium Benefit: A moratorium period will be available from 1st April 2025 to 31st March 2026.

  • Additional Support: Businesses can avail additional working capital up to 15% of their existing limits through a Working Capital Term Loan (WCTL) to help revive operations.

  • Flexible Repayment: Both FITL and WCTL facilities are repayable over 36 months after the moratorium period.

  • Lowest Interest Rate: The facilities are being offered at a fixed rate of 8.45% per annum.

  • Account Upgrade Option: Even downgraded but eligible accounts can be upgraded once the rehabilitation package is implemented.

The bank has urged borrowers to take advantage of the scheme, which is valid only if implemented on or before 5th November 2025.
