Kashmiri entrepreneur honored by Union Minister for work on  startups 

New Delhi: A Kashmiri entrepreneur and environmental activist, Dr. Touseef Ahmed, was on Saturday honored by Union Minister of State for Corporate Affairs and Road Transport & Highways, Harsh Malhotra, for his  contribution to building and nurturing the startup ecosystem in Jammu & Kashmir.

The award was presented at a ceremony in the national capital, recognizing Mr. Ahmed’s initiatives in creating a structured platform for young entrepreneurs in the Union Territory. His work has focused on mentorship, skill development, investor linkages, and providing the support needed to transform innovative ideas into viable business ventures.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister Malhotra commended Mr. Ahmed’s efforts as a model for the government’s vision of fostering entrepreneurship across India. “The work being done by Mr. Touseef Ahmed in Jammu & Kashmir is a perfect example of this mission in action. He is not just creating businesses but nurturing job creators and fueling economic growth in the region,” Malhotra said.

Expressing gratitude, Mr. Ahmed dedicated the award to the youth of Jammu & Kashmir. “This recognition is a testament to the incredible potential and spirit of the young entrepreneurs and innovators of J&K. It validates our belief that the region is a powerhouse of untapped talent and ideas,” he said.
