Traders’ and fruit growers’ delegation meets J&K Bank Chairman in Jammu

Jammu: A joint delegation comprising members of the Baramulla Traders Federation and the Kashmir Fruit Growers and Dealers Association today held a detailed meeting with the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Bank at the bank’s headquarters in Jammu.

The delegation was led by Er. Tariq Mughloo, Fayaz Ahmad Malik (Kaka Ji), Adv. Ghulam Rasool Wagay, Er. Tariq Ahmad Bhat, Irshad Rasool Bhat, and Intikhab Alam Bha.

During the meeting, the delegation raised several pressing issues concerning the trader and fruit grower community of North Kashmir, particularly regarding the functioning of key branches of J&K Bank in the region. They apprised the Chairman of the challenges faced by the business and horticulture sectors and urged for swift redressal of the same.

The Chairman of J&K Bank gave a patient hearing to the delegation and assured that all genuine grievances would be addressed on priority. He also committed to extending enhanced banking facilities to both traders and fruit growers.

Speaking on the occasion, Er. Mughloo highlighted the significant contribution of the trading and fruit growing communities in strengthening J&K Bank and making it a leading financial institution in the country. The President of Sopore Fruit Mandi also underscored the importance of the fruit sector in J&K’s economy and appealed for more support from the bank to this vital community.

The meeting concluded on a positive note with assurances of better cooperation and support from J&K Bank in the days ahead.
