Group of Concerned Citizens meets Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, flags crucial public issues

SRINAGAR: A delegation of the Group of Concerned Citizens (GCC), Jammu & Kashmir, met with Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in Srinagar to discuss a range of issues affecting public life in the state.

The delegation, led by chairman of GCC, Khurshid Ahmed Ganai (IAS), who is  former Advisor to J&K government, and Lateef uz Zaman Deva, former chairman Public Services  Commission, Ms Naseem Lanker, Farooq Ahmed Kaloo, Dr Faiz Fazili, Abdul Majid Bhat, Abdul Rashid Khan,  M. S. Magray, Er Hakim Iftikhar, Er Iftikhar Drabu, Mohammad Rafi  and other several prominent members from civil society, academia.

The GCC, a non-partisan collective of distinguished individuals including former bureaucrats, academics, journalists and civil society members, expressed concern over pressing matters related to governance, environment, education and the broader socio-economic situation in Jammu & Kashmir.
