SKUAST-Kashmir launches new user-friendly admission portal

Srinagar: Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir Monday launched a new admission portal to ease the online application processes for undergraduate and post graduate aspirants.

The student-friendly web-portal www.admissions.skuastkashir.ac.in developed with highly user friendly interface was launched by the Vice Chancellor, SKUAST-K, Prof Nazir Ahmad Ganai at a function held at Shalimar campus here.

While congratulating incharge ARIS Dr GM Mir and his team for developed a dynamic and easy to access web portal in a record time, the Vice Chancellor said the portal will ease out the application filing process for the entrance examination to the various UG and PG courses offered by the SKUAST-K. He said it will work a uniform single platform for the students  with streamlined application process secure document uploads, integrated payments process with the detailed program information and prospectus.

The web portal is easy to access through mobile and students can complete all the process including the fee payment through internet banking, credit and debit cards.

The portal has been indigenously developed by the university’s software development team led by Muneer Shigan, with significant contributions from Zubair Paul and Adnan Samoon. The integrated system incorporates multiple decentralized dashboards, including an examination dashboard for examination management, a student dashboard for personalized access, and an admission dashboard for applicant processing, allowing different university departments to independently manage their respective functions while maintaining a unified data ecosystem.

SKUAST-K’s Director Education, Prof Mohammad Altaf Bhat; Director Planning, Prof Shabir A Wani; Registrar, Prof Azmat Alam Khan; Controller, Examination, Prof Qaiser Naveed, Deputy Registrar, Academics, Siraj-ud-Din and various officers and officials of the university were present at the launch function.

SKUAST-K has invited application for its 14 UG and 67 PG courses including some highly market-driven technology courses launched recently.
