Srinagar — The Jammu and Kashmir Fruits and Vegetables Processing and Integrated Cold Chain Association (JKPICCA) has issued a strong condemnation of the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, describing the violence as “senseless” and “utterly intolerable in any humane and civilized society.”
In a statement issued to Ziraat Times on Tuesday, JKPICCA expressed profound sorrow over the tragic loss of innocent lives and extended its deepest condolences and solidarity to the families of the victims.
“There can be no justification for targeting the defenseless,” the Association stated. “Violence against innocent people, regardless of cause or context, is a grave injustice that must be condemned in the strongest possible terms.”
The Association’s president, on behalf of all its members, conveyed prayers and support to the bereaved, emphasizing that the pain of the affected families is shared across the community.
JKPICCA also called on authorities to act decisively and without delay to identify and prosecute those behind the attack. “Strict and exemplary action must be taken to deter such acts in the future,” the statement added.
Beyond immediate justice, the Association used the occasion to appeal for broader peace and reconciliation, urging communities to embrace harmony and mutual respect.
“We sincerely hope for an end to the cycle of terror and conflict—not just in our region, but across the world. Let us move forward toward a future of peace, prosperity, and unity,” JKPICCA said.
The Association concluded by praying for the eternal peace of the departed souls.
