CAIT Kashmir Condemns Attack on Tourists, Calls for Swift Justice and Support for Victims

Srinagar: The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT), Kashmir Chapter, has strongly condemned the recent attack on tourists in Pahalgam, describing it as a senseless act of violence that not only takes innocent lives but also strikes at the very heart of Kashmir’s culture of peace and hospitality.

In an official statement issued to Ziraat Times, CAIT Kashmir extended heartfelt condolences to the families who lost their loved ones in the tragic incident. “Our thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved families during this extremely difficult time. We also pray for the swift and full recovery of all those who have been injured,” the statement said.

CAIT has called upon the authorities to ensure the best possible medical care for the injured and to provide them with comprehensive support. It also urged law enforcement agencies to take swift and stringent action against those responsible for the “heinous act.”

Reiterating Kashmir’s legacy of warmth and peaceful coexistence, the trade body affirmed its commitment to upholding the region’s traditions of hospitality. “Kashmir has always been known for its hospitality, warmth, and peaceful coexistence. CAIT reaffirms its commitment to preserving these values and ensuring the safety of all visitors to our land,” the statement added.

The traders’ body also emphasized the importance of collective efforts to maintain peace and protect Kashmir’s image as a safe and welcoming destination for tourists from around the world.
