Srinagar: Irfan Ali Shah, Indian Forest Service Officer (IFS), today officially assumed charge as the Conservator of Forests (CF), Kashmir North Circle. Irfan Ali Shah has previously served in key positions, including CF Srinagar, CF South, CF Central, and CF Working Plan.
Upon taking office, Irfan Ali chaired a comprehensive review meeting with the Divisional Forest Officers of the North Circle. The meeting focused on critical forestry issues and the strategic roadmap for the region. He reviewed the current protection scenario, ongoing departmental works, and achievements under initiatives such as Ek Paed Maa Ke Naam, eco-tourism projects, FCA cases, court matters, and manpower challenges.
Emphasizing the importance of collaborative efforts, Shah underscored the need for synergy with local communities, government agencies, and stakeholders to effectively safeguard the region’s rich biodiversity and promote sustainable forest management.
