Suresh Gupta appointed J&K’s Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and HOFF

New Delhi, January 21: The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC), Government of India, has appointed Suresh Kumar Gupta, a 1991-batch Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer of the Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram and Union Territory (AGMUT) cadre, as the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF) and Head of Forest Force (HoFF) for Jammu & Kashmir.

The appointment order dated January 21, 2025, a copy of which has been made available to Ziraat Times, states that Mr. Gupta will assume charge on February 1, 2025, following the superannuation of the current incumbent on January 31, 2025. He will hold the position in Level-17 of the Pay Matrix.

Mr Gupta is currently serving as PCCF (Ex-cadre) in the UT of J&K.

The new PCCF & HoFF will be responsible for overseeing forest conservation policies, implementing afforestation programs, and ensuring sustainable management of forest resources in Jammu &  Kashmir.
