Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir government has expressed concern over the non-compliance of its employees in registering on the Karmayogi portal, a digital platform designed to enhance core competencies for effective public service delivery. Officials have now been directed to ensure immediate registration and active participation in the Competency Assessment Tests (CAT) available on the platform.
The initiative is part of Mission Karmayogi, a national program for civil services capacity-building, implemented through the iGOT Karmayogi platform. This online tool serves as a comprehensive training system aimed at upskilling government employees, improving governance, and strengthening execution capabilities across various departments.
Amid concerns over slow adoption, J&K government has now urged all administrative heads to ensure that employees enroll in the program without delay. Reports suggest that despite multiple notifications, many officials have yet to complete their registration and begin the assessment process.
