J&K’s 9-member Council of Ministers to include Rahim Rather, G.A. Mir…. 

Srinagar, Oct 11: Omar Abdullah, the  Chief Minister designate of Jammu & Kashmir, is set to announce a nine-member council of ministers for his new government in Jammu & Kashmir. The selection process of the 9-member council has focused on ensuring balanced representation across various sections of society to ensure inclusivity and regional development, highly placed sources  confirmed to Ziraat Times.

Among the experienced leaders expected to join the council are:

1. Abdul Rahim Rather (NC)
2. Ghulam Ahmad Mir (Congress)
3. Surinder Chaudhary (NC)
4. Sakina Yatoo (NC)
5. Ali Mohammad Sagar (NC)
6. Mubarak Gul (NC)
7. Ajaz Jan (NC)
8. Zafar Ali Khatana (Scheduled Tribe representative)
9. Saifullah Mir (NC)

Political observers believe that this diverse Ministerial Council aims to bring together seasoned political leaders known for their work in governance, aiming to tackle the key challenges facing Jammu & Kashmir.

Additionally, Congress is expected to take the position of Speaker in the Assembly, while the National Conference (NC) will appoint the Deputy Speaker.
