Srinagar, 16 Oct: A delegation from the Chamber of Commerce and Industries Kashmir (CCIK), led by President Tariq Ghani, met with players from the Indian and international cricket teams, emphasizing the transformative role of sports for Kashmiri youth. The delegation lauded the teams for their performance and urged them to inspire young cricketers in the valley. They also called for improved sports infrastructure, including upgraded stadiums, to nurture local talent and further promote sports culture in Jammu & Kashmir.
The meeting highlighted the need to expand tournaments like the Legends League to provide more opportunities for young players to showcase their skills at national and international levels. Ghani urged authorities to prioritize the development of sports facilities, which would lead to increased youth participation in sports and create future cricketing stars from the region.
