Agriculture Dept pitches for agro-forestry nursery at Baramulla

BARAMULLA, JUNE 29: The Director Agriculture Kashmir, Chowdhury Mohammad Iqbal today visited the proposed land for the establishment of Agro-forestry Nursery at Khadniyar Baramulla.
Speaking on the occasion, the Director highlighted the importance of different projects under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP). He said that the effective implementation of different projects could be achieved only when the implementation is done in a coordinated manner.

He said the projects under HADP are inter-connected and therefore the officers of allied departments must work in a coordinated manner for the successful implementation of these projects.
Director impressed upon the officers to increase the awareness among the farmers regarding the HADP.

He also held an interaction with the concerned officers and was briefed by them regarding the implementation of different projects, centrally sponsored schemes and flagship programmes in the districts.
Chief Agriculture Officer Baramulla, SDAO Baramulla and other senior officers of the department were present on the occasion.
