JKTA to Hold Tourism Road Show in Mid-January

Srinagar, Aug 25: The Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Association (JKTA) has decided to hold a tourism road show in mid-January 2024. The road show will be held in a city that has yet to be determined, but will be selected based on its potential to attract tourists to Kashmir.

The decision to hold the road show was made at the 10th Executive Committee (EC) meeting of the JKTA, which was held yesterday at Sarovar Portico. The meeting was chaired by JKTA Chairman Nasir Shah.

In addition to the road show, the EC meeting also discussed other promotional activities that the JKTA is planning. These activities include participating in trade fairs and exhibitions, and organizing familiarization tours for travel agents and media representatives.

The JKTA is also planning to hold its annual general meeting (AGM) and elections in the first week of November 2023.

The JKTA is the apex body of tour operators, hoteliers, and houseboat owners in Jammu and Kashmir. It has been in existence for over 50 years and has played a significant role in promoting tourism in the region.
