TAAK concerned about slow pace of smart city project near Mughal Gardens

Srinagar, 9 June: Travel Agents Association of Kashmir ( TAAK) is extremely concerned about the slow pace of the work in Srinagar espicially arround tourist areas of Mughal gardens leading to massive traffic jams bringing inconvenience to tourists in particular and public in general.

President TAAK Farooq Kuthoo said that tourists visiting Shalimar and Nishat gardens are put to great inconvenience due to frequent and never ending traffic jams bringing disrepute to Kashmir tourism.

TAAK also expressed concern on the issue of unannounced power cuts which are leading to businesses losses to tourism traders espicially the Hoteliers.

“Due to incomplete work projects of smart City at Nishat and Shalimar gardens , people are put to great inconvenience as the area witnesses unending traffic jams.
We appeal to SP traffic Srinagar city to depute additional traffic police personnel so that massive traffic jams in these areas are avoided,” said Kuthoo.

Kuthoo further said the is peak tourist season and such works need to be completed on war footing.
“We appeal the honorable LG to intervene and get these issues sorted so that public as well as tourists are not put to inconvenience.
