Team KCCI meets LG Sinha; seeks govt intervention on key economic issues

Srinagar, May 30: The KCCI officr bearers lead by its presdident Javed Ahmad Tenga held a meeting with Lt.Governor, Manoj Sinha on Tuesday at Raj Bhavan Srinagar and discussed various matters relating to trade, commerce & Industry.

According to a media statement, this was the second such meeting with LG during the last 3 weeks. The LG assured that the issues raised by KCCI will be addressed at the earliest, the statement said.

The KCCI Senior Vice President, Ashaq Shangloo , Junior Vice President Fayaz Punjabi, Secretary General Faiz Bakshi & Treasurer Zubair Mahajan were part of the delegation.

The KCCI and Lt. Governor discussed the issues related to crop insurance for horticulture products, CA Storage capacity , tourism, Information Technology , Handicrafts promotion, Trade Facilitation Centre etc.

These issues were in addition to the issues discussed in the meeting held with Lt. Governor on 13 th of May when a memorandum was submitted to him. The LG assured that the issues raised by KCCI will be addressed at the earliest, the statement added.
