Court extends remand of TKW Chief Editor till February 21

PULWAMA, Feb 14 — A court on Monday extended the remand of senior journalist Fahad Shah for a week. Earlier, he had been remanded to police custody for 10 days.

Sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that Fahad Shah, Editor-in-Chief of The Kashmir Walla, was produced before the Court of Mobile Magistrate by Pulwama Police. The court remanded him to police custody for a week till February 21.

Fahad is in police custody after being booked in connection with his reportage about Pulwama encounter. He is represented by Advocate Umair Ronga.

While talking to news agency Kashmir News Trust, Defence lawyer Advocate Umair Ronga said despite court directions, police didn’t file any report.

The court had earlier directed the police to submit a report and site grounds about the detention of Fahad Shah.
