KCCI seeks compensation for fire-affected houseboat owners

Srinagar, Jan 5: Kashmir Chamber of Commerce & Industry (Inc) has expressed grief and sorrow over the fire incident in Dal Lake in which two Houseboats namely Apollo 11 and New Zealand opposite Ghat No. 9 were completely gutted in the fire.

In a statement issued to Ziraat Times, the chamber has stated that it is anticipated that there are a loss worth crores of rupees.

“Sheikh Ashiq Ahmad, President KCC&I took cognizance of the incident and urged Manoj Sinha, Lieutenant Governor, UT. J&K gives full support, rehabilitation, and compensation to the affected houseboat holders.”
