Srinagar, Jan 22: Associated Chamber of Commerce and Industry Kashmir (CCIK) has urged LG Administration to allow restaurants and cafes for the take away facility during the lockdown.
In a statement, CCIK President Tariq Rashid Ghani said due to lockdown commuters and tourists are facing inconveniences while commuting from one place to another.
Ghani said the restaurants at tourist spots should be allowed to operate with proper SOPs on 50 per cent capacity so that travellers and the commuters don’t face difficulty and generate income for the units.
“Due to the lockdown, the tourist influx has dropped by 50 percent causing huge distress not only in tourism sector but in other economic sectors. If Travellers are given all facilities including dine in or take away at restaurants, the tourist influx will pick up again which will overall help improve economic activities.”
