Srinagar, Aug 24: Jammu & Kashmir Water Resources Regulatory Authority, a government of Jammu & Kashmir undertaking responsible for administration of water resources, has Tuesday announced a new structure of tariff for drinking water made available through piped system.
An official order issued in this regard on 23 August, 2021, a copy of which has been obtained by Ziraat Times, reads, “in terms of section 128 and section 145(2) of the J&K Water Resources (Regulation and Management) Act 2010, the Authority has decided to fix the water usage charges/tariff for different categories of water for the year 2021-22 effective from 01- 04-2021….”
The new water usage tariffs will have a retrospective effect from Ist April, 2021 and shall remain valid till 31-04-2022.
Ziraat Times publishes here the tariff structure for drinking water of different connection sizes for urban and rural areas (Applicable half-yearly). The rates for metered water will be different.
