Srinagar: Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) has condoled the sad demise of three doctors of Jammu division namely Dr Tahir Haroon Mirza, Dr Akram Malik and Dr Basharat H Shah who died of COVID-19 yesterday.The said doctors were working in Jammu division of J&K with one of the doctors namely Dr Mohd Akram Malik being retired as Chief Medical officer Poonch.
Dr Md Yusuf Tak, President DAK said, ” that these doctors were front line covid warrior who contracted Covid 19 while serving the people. All the martyrs doctors suffered from covid pneumonias and were under treatment in jammu hospitals but couldn’t make out due to severity of the disease.
Dr Owais H Dar, General Secretary DAK said that, these doctors are true martyrs as they without caring for consequences of contracting the Covid 19 maintained the hippocratic oath and served their patients to the last.
Doctors Association Kashmir salutes the martyrdom of these doctors and expresses the deepest condolence with the bereaved family and prays for the eternal peace if departed souls.
DAK said that the entire medical fraternity is saddened with the loss of the deceased doctors and are in shoulder to shoulder with their family members and relatives in this hour of grief.
DAK once again stresses the Govt to come with a fool. proof action plan of taking security & safety of Covid Wasriors as utmost priority. It’s of immense significance that a well planned duty rosters, rationalisation/pooling of staff should be adopted. It’s high time focus should be given on Dedicated Covid Hospitals and more Human Resource be pooled. Continuous extended work on Health Care workers have made them vulnerable .
