J&K MEGA welcomes govt’s administrative steps

Srinagar: The J&K J&K Mechanical Engineering Graduates Association (MEGA) has appreciated and welcomed various initiatives taken by Administrative Department of PWD (R&B and Mechanical Engineering) under the leadership of R. R. Bhatnagar, Advisor to Lt. Governor and Principal Secretary to Govt (R&B and Mech. Engg.) Shalindra Kumar (IAS) and his team for redressal of various long pending demands of engineers.

JKMEGA President Er Firdous Ahad Bhat in a statement to Ziraat Times said that the ‘fast regularisation initiated, long pending promotions/ placements, transfer policy, accountability being implemented etc are historic moves to be welcomed and supported.’

“The recent approval of PWD Engineering Manual Book is a milestone in the history of engineering in J&K. The process of regularization which was at halt from last one decade has been started at various levels. The regularization process is in progress in Mechanical wing and hope it will be completed soon”, he said.

The Jammu and Kashmir Mechanical Engineering Graduates Association has also welcomed the timely promotions / placements of Executive Engineers, Asstt. Executive Engineers, Asstt. Engineers and last but not the least long pending demand of promotion of Jr. Engineer (Mech.) by the Principal Secretary PWD (R&B and Mechanical Engineering) as per the service rules. The Association has also expressed hope that in re-organisation and restructuring of the department, the Mechanical Engineering fraternity in modern mechanised world will be fully and properly utilised for greater public service.

“The Association would also like to thank Additional Secretary (R&B) Rajnish Kumar, Additional Secretary (HRM) Shahid Mehmood and the team for putting their best efforts in redressal of the grievances of the Engineers”, it added.
