Srinagar: Kashmir Tourism Joint Forum has offered assistance to stranded tourists in Kashmir. In a statement to Ziraat Times, the Forum has asked its affiliate members to identify any tourists who are in difficulty and short of funds so that they could be assisted with accommodation.
Below is the full statement jointly issued by the Forum:
The entire Kashmir Valley has been witnessing an unprecedented snowfall for the last 3 days and as per weather reports, the snow fall may continue for few more days. Although it is a blessing for the People of Kashmir Valley as water is a great source of our living, but snow fall has its adverse effects too as all the Highways & Runways get closed for days to come.
With this heavy snowfall, many tourists have been stuck in Srinagar and Tourism Forum share the difficulties they are facing in this difficult time. We are sincerely with the Stranded Tourists and will try to do whatever best can be done. In view of this, Tourism Join Forum urges its members to identify any Tourist who is in difficulty and short of funds, we will be glad to assist them and provide accommodation etc. Please contact on URGENT basis the below four Volunteers of Joint Forum:
