Yes, brace for a snowy Sunday in much of J&K

Ziraat Times Weather Report

Srinagar: A brief snow spell is very likely across Kashmir valley and parts of Chenab and Pirpanjal valleys in Jammu region starting Sunday afternoon till early Monday this week, Ziraat Times weather analysis suggests.

According to the ZT forecast, intermittent, but heavy, snowfall is also likely in parts of the Chenab valley in Jammu region on Monday and Tuesday.

Moderate rainfall is also likely across Jammu plains and lower parts of Pirpanjal, including Rajouri and Poonch areas.

Where more snow is expected:

Due to a distinct temperature differential between the outer and inner Himalayas, leading to localized wind systems, this snow spell is particularly likely to result in more snowfall in Kishtwar, Bhaderwah, Wadwan valley, Margan Pass areas, Kolohoi glacier and surrounding areas, Pahalgam’s upper areas, Aru, Upper Tral and Upper Dachigam areas.
