FCIK elects new team; industrialist Shahid Kamili is new President

Srinagar: Managing Director of Himalayan Platinum steel brand, Mir Shahid Kamali, has been elected as the new President of Federation Chamber of Industries, Kashmir (FCIK), the apex body of Kashmir-based industries with memberships of over 100 industrial associations.

In the recently-held elections of the industries body, Nisar Ahmed Sheikh has been elected as Vice President of the Federation. Ovees Qadir Jami was elected Secretary General of the federation, while M. Altaf has been elected as Secretary Finance.

Other prominent businessmen who were declared winners for different posts are Muhammad Rafiq as Secretary Publicity and Daniyal Qureshi as Secretary. The result for post of Senior Vice President and Joint Secretary General was declared as tie.

The newly-elected president Shahid Kamili owns the Himalayan Rolling Steel Industries Pvt. Ltd. The hi-tech steel rolling plant of J&K, with a production capacity of 2,50,000TPA of TMT and structural steel, is the largest in the sector in J&K.
