Promotion stagnation issue: Agri Technocrats Welfare Association welcomes Admin’s steps

ZT NEWS NETWORK

Srinagar: Agriculture Technocrats Welfare Association (ATWA) have expressed their gratitude to Principal Secretary, Agriculture Production Department, Navin Kumar Choudary for the Government order issued vide No: 85-JK(Agri) of 2020 Dated: 14-05-2020, where in our 49 officers/colleagues got elevated to different District Officer positions in Jammu & Kashmir.

“The initiative taken up by Principal Secretary Agriculture Production Department in resolving the long pending issue of stagnation (in a phased manner) is indeed praise worthy and has proven to be a passionate misty breeze after a long dry spell of years together”, Abdul Hamid Shah, President, ATWA, said in a statement today.

“ATWA, while on one hand congratulates the officers who have been elevated in the said order, at the same time; it appreciates the architects of these orders for maintaining the balance between two sections of the officers (Promotees – PRs & Direct Recruits-DRs). It is an undeniable fact that for the first time we are able to see such orders, whereby both the sections (PRs & DRs) are fully satisfied in getting their shares properly” Mr Shah said.

“We feel it appropriate to request worthy Principal Secretary Agriculture Production Department and also expect that this trend should continue in future as well, while filling up the remaining District Officer and Sub Div Agri Officer positions” ATWA further said.

“It is worth to mention here that presently there are only 10-20 remaining JAEOs in the whole UT (appointed way back in 2005-2006), who are eligible for elevation to about 200 plus vacancies of AEOs. We request you to kindly issue similar orders for these JAEOs as well, so that they also get a sigh of relief”, the association has said.
